Wales Mourns The Death Of A Great Footballer

Saturday, January 28th, 2012

Suicide has always been one of the top leading causes of death in the world, health authorities say. It has even reached the top 20 causes of death for all ages among countries. The number of people who kill themselves every year has reached a million, according to World Health Organization (WHO). Gary Speed, manager of the Wales national team, was no exemption: he had also ended his own life at age 42. He was known as a great midfielder. All his life, Speed was not known for being depressed and haven’t even filed a single Zoloft lawsuit.

Many people sighed in disbelief when they heard the news that Speed has killed himself. Nobody has expected him to take his own life. He is survived by his wife and two teenage sons. Most fans were at a loss. The life that Speed had led was a truly remarkable one. His talent agent and close friend, Hayden Evans said that he never had any issues with depression. At around 7:00 in the morning, the wife of Speed, Louise, found her husband hanging in their garage. She had also said nothing on why he committed suicide. The last show on which he was last seen in was in BBC1 Football Focus, which was taped just hours before he killed himself. The presenter on BBC1, Dan Walker, shared the information that Speed was nothing but that Wales played under him made them won four to one which affirmed his managerial skills.

The outpouring of tributes for Gary Speed has been increasing since his untimely death. Mourning fans brought tributes outside Speed’s house and also the places where he used to play. The tributes that they brought were jerseys, scarves, flowers and photographs that they had of the late footballer. As a sign of respect for the grieving family, friends and fans alike have asked the press to stop sensationalizing his death.
